I'm addicted to Genealogy so my wife says. I've been doing it for about fifteen years. Taking pictures of all the kin I never got to meet. We were told we were the last of the Reece's "NOT"!! I started out with about ten names and have over six thousand five hundred. I'm really glad there are people who will help you with your research. FindAGrave is another tool for newcomers to Genealogy and Veterans. If you find any errors or would like for us to correct the info that was supplied to us please use the edit tab then the suggest a correction (SAC) bar. |
My brother Jim & Rosa King and I are currently working on all the NC Vietnam KIA/MIA's Grave sites. After 8 years of searching, we've located all of the resting places for these brave men & women who paid the ultimate price, over 1900 of them. This doesn't mean we are idle. Now we are looking for their photos. The search for all Vietnam KIA/MIA's goes on.

First of all let me thank you on behalf of the veterans that you are honoring in your work. Next I want to thank you for helping people like me who can no longer visit cemeteries. Through your work with Find A Grave and others like you, I AM able to find graves of my extended family. I did visit cemeteries for many years. My journey into my genealogy started in the 80's and here I am still journeying right on. I am trying so hard to get as much as I can on Ancestry and Family Tree Maker that my descendants and others can use to find their heritage. It is indeed rich. Although monetarily we were not rich, we were rich in other ways. Thank you for your help and I do hope you won't mind my using copies of your photos in my family's pages on Ancestry and Family Tree Maker. I think that you who are helping others thru Find A Grave will be richly blessed by God.

Could you please tell me where you got the picture
of Eddy that you posted. Eddy was my husbands younger brother and we have never seen this picture before.
Thanks for all you do.

Thank you for posting this site out on Find a Grave. I have added a few sites myself over the years but have been having a hard time adding my own mothers. I have submitted an update for my mother's site and will put a picture of her marker up soon. I agree, this is a service that needs to be done and I appreciate you picking up this charge. God bless you and your family.

I have worked for the past 19 years at a large FamilySearch Library in Mesa, Arizona. I teach classes to the staff, patrons and in the communities in the Phoenix area. One of my specialties is U.S. Military Records research. I am ADDICTED to Find A Grave. I looked at your military virtual cemeteries. They are all truly amazing1! I can't wait to show them at my lectures. Three of my senior high school classmates were killed in Vietmam. We had our 50th class reunion in 2013, and we used the virtual cemetery I created for those who were killed in Vietnam from Pocatello, Idaho. You love for our Military is very humbling.

Tina Walker Smith is a friend on my Facebook. She has posted today the arrival of her Uncle Bunyan's remains being brought home. This has been a humbling day. So many of our Vietnam soldiers remains have not been located. My husband served 2 tours as a Marine in Vietnam, and returned home to be a D.I. at Parris Island for 4 years. I put a link to Bunyan' Find A Grave memorial that you submitted on Tina's page. You truly have created a wonderful memorial to him. Thank you for all you do in behalf of Find A Grave.
Cemetery added...thanks so much.
