The memorials I have created are my attempt to get the information on Find-a-Grave with the hope that others will contribute to their accuracy. All information I have posted on the memorials has been gathered from the headstone, other contributors, books or websites. While under my custody, each memorial is considered by me as a "work-in-progress" waiting to be claimed by a family member. If I have added and still manage a memorial for one of your family members, just let me know and I will transfer it to you. Of the memorials I manage, there are only a few that I have created for my own ancestors. I would love to have the opportunity to reunite the memorial with a family member. After the transfer has been made to you and you find that you are unable to manage it for any reason, feel free to transfer it back to me and I will hold it until another family member comes along. Many times I take several pictures of a grave site or monument to show close-up or expanded views with the hope that the viewer can see the general site, inscription or the entire monument. If you don't want a photograph shown that I've posted to the memorial, please let me know and I will delete it. While I'm at the cemeteries taking pictures, I try to also update the GPS coordinates of the grave site (if I have cell phone service). I have noticed that many times the coordinates will be off by as much as 50 feet or more. So, please use this tool as a 'general reference'. The coordinates will get you close but it may not be the exact location. Feel free to use any of the photos I have taken for your use - you have my permission. There is no need to give credit to me if you choose to use the photos.
