I discovered Find A Grave while researching my family history on ancestry.com. I was so grateful to see a photo of the headstone of my maternal grandfather, whom I never had the opportunity to meet. It answered some of my questions, and I felt a little connection and comfort.

Homeschooling my 2 youngest daughters, we were looking for a good community service opportunity for this school year. We all do photography, and as funny as it may sound, we enjoy visiting cemeteries, and taking photos, so this was a perfect fit for us!

This is also a wonderful opportunity for them to learn other skills as well, like research, following maps, and learning about history, etc. I hope our photos help others researching their family history as well. Blessings, Linda
