** PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL AND NOT POST ANY THEMED PICTURES ON ANY OF MY MEMORIALS - these include holiday and Halloween themes... Thank you!

Thank you so very much to all of you who have left flowers and notes at any of my memorials. It means the world to me that my loved ones are not forgotten... I, too, read your stories:: some make me smile; others break my heart. It brings me a semblance of comfort in knowing there are others who understand what I have gone through - especially when it comes to the subject of suicide. There is just way too much devastation caused by this "disease", and sweeping it under the table isn't going to make it go away. If more people were prepared to talk about it, then I truly believe there would be fewer of our loved ones ending their lives...

My name is Gaena (or Gaens). I live in Perth, Western Australia, with my two furry purrsons (aka cats), Purr-C & Freedom.

I have always loved cemeteries - the peacefulness, tranquility, and their history... You can often tell a lot about a person by reading their headstone - what sort of person they were, their family, even their socio-economic situation. When I was a kid, I would often take a bucket, detergent, and a sponge with a scourer, and head on down to the local cemetery. I'd fill the bucket with water there and clean up some of the older, neglected graves, to show that someone actually gave a damn!

One of my friends screwed up her nose when I told them I added my younger sister, Delannie Gebhard, to this site... On the contrary... This is a fantastic way to memorialise those who mean so much to us. My sister has no grave; another family member has her ashes, and I guess I just needed something tangible to show that she actually existed!

PLEASE feel free to leave flowers or a note for my precious little sister, Delannie... So many have forgotten she ever existed, but I never will... Thank you for reading.
