Photography is my hobby, so it was natural that I became the keeper of old family photos. While scanning them, I became interested in genealogy, which led me to this site. I see Findagrave as a way to help each other with genealogy research as well as a way to honor our forebears.

I particularly like military and historic cemeteries. In my area, there are two cemeteries where many Civil War soldiers are buried. Sadly, many of these graves are marked Unknown; most others have very little information. It's fascinating when biographical information has been added to the memorials.

I will be glad to transfer any memorial I have created, unless it is one of my own family members. I try to be respectful and accurate in my photography and posting. Please contact me when you find errors!
