EDITS
We each have our own preferences. Some like the single city option, some the double city option. Personally I don't understand why there are two choices. Since some of our cities are not part of a county I prefer the single city entry. Example - Norfolk City, Virginia, USA
Some prefer single spacing, some prefer double spacing.
Some prefer the source at top of obit, some at the bottom of obit. Some edits are deleting the source (not acceptable).

If adding gender I would suggest including it with other edits. Adding as a single edit or including it with change of single name city to double name city is not a practical use of your time or mine. Gender is not visible on the main screen. In the majority of cases it is easy to tell by the name whether the person is male or female.

Edits for dates, locations, family links and obituaries are valuable information and appreciated. In case of obituaries please include the source. I will decline requests to change the city from a single name to a double name and obits without a source.

New transfer guidelines
If the memorial in question is a relative to you (within our transfer guidelines) and the memorial manager is not family, then they must transfer the memorial. If they refuse to transfer the memorial or do not respond within a reasonable amount of time, contact [email protected] and we will work on it for you. Our transfer guidelines include these close relationships: child, spouse/partner, sibling, parent, grandchild, great-grandchild, grandparent, great-grandparent, niece/nephew, great-niece/nephew, aunt/uncle, great-aunt/uncle, or first cousin.

My pet peeve - If there is already a good photo posted on a page why must you post another one. Personally I have no qualms if someone posts a better one, but some posted are definitely not better. If your photo is better I have no problem deleting mine.
Also I do not understand why anyone would create a memorial page for a person whose name is obviously on tombstone as a preneed and in all probability the person is still alive.

Additional info and obituaries are appreciated. For obituaries please provide source and date. If that is not included they will be ignored.

If you send an email be sure to put findagrave in the subject line. Sometimes mail lands in the spam box. Anything that lands in SPAM is automatically deleted without opening.

PLEASE, PLEASE use the edit tab and fill in the appropriate blocks or suggest a correction and make your comment, suggestion, transfer request etc. This makes it easier for you and me.

A number of memorials in Saranac Cemetery in Saranac, Michigan have been transferred to me. If you have any additional info about any of these I will be glad to transfer them.
