Bio

OK..Here are my thoughts on this stuff.

TRANSFERS: I will only transfer child, spouse/partner, sibling, parent, grandchild, great-grandchild, grandparent, great-grandparent, niece/nephew, great-niece/nephew, aunt/uncle, great-aunt/uncle, or first cousin...."one" great aunt/uncle

PICTURES: help yourself...no need to give me credit. MY PET PEEVE...please don't take pictures in a cemetery and add those pictures to a different cemetery if the individual has multiple memorials. Stone pictures belong in the cemetery they were taken in and no other cemetery. Yes this happens!!!!

EDITS: If there are errors in any of the memorials that I've entered please let me know. I'll be glad to correct them and make any changes necessary. PLEASE USE THE EDIT BUTTON.

FLOWERS: PLEASE don't use the flower section as a place to add a bio for the memorial...that isn't where it belongs. Just send me an EDIT. I'll add it to the bio.

MILITARY RANKS: Dept. of Defense use of rank protocol
Only list rank before the name on a memorial if they retired after a minimum of 20 years of service or died while on active duty.

One who doesn't retire doesn't continue to use the rank as part of their name. Use of rank as part of one's name is reserved for those who serve until retirement. When one leaves the service and resigns his/her rank, so he/she does not continue to use the rank as part of their name. He/she served in an honorable fashion and served his/her committed time.
The opposite to this would be, for instance, a doctor, or reverend, etc.

No man is an island, and this certainly can't be done alone. We are all volunteers. Please remember to play nice in the sandbox.
