Find A Grave's mission is 'graves registration'. |
Please specify your relationship when requesting transfers. I am no longer transfering outside the Findagrave guidelines.
Due to the growing popularity of the website I have been getting multiple transfer requests for the same memorial from several different contributors. Trying to determine who should get the memorial is becoming difficult for me.
Find-A-Grave Policy on Transfers
Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations, this would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents. Keep in mind that the original contributor may also be related to the memorial and may not want to make the transfer.
I am always happy to make corrections and add links when asked.
You have my express permission to copy my photos from Find A Grave and use them on other sites. Attribution is appreciated, but not necessary.

This is not my ancestors Polly Ann Harman Dodson relative. This tomebstone is of a child, no sense at all. The last name of my Polly Ann Harman Dodson and her sister Catherine Harman Tabor is Harman not Harmon. Their last name has always been Harman. Their father did not die as a child but as an adult..
Jacob Harmon Number 98930835 in Sumner Co, Kansas
23 Sep 1811 - 19 Apr 1914-- look last name is not Harman and he is a child. This is this crazy this I have ever seen put on of my ancestor's here and not right name..... Don't understand this .....??????

I found an obituary for above in a Knoxville, IL paper. Is it possible he was actually buried in
Knoxville? His son-in-law-Ira J. Lewis purchased a
space 2-2-1901. Albert died Jan 1901. Obit says
something about "they will arrive on the train tomorrow". Only because of Ira purchasing lot, makes me think his body was brought to Knoxville, IL
Do you know? Thanks, Pam

It would be greatly appreciated.
