Bio and Links
Bio Photo Research of my families encompasses a wide-ranging list of surnames and locales. My primary focus is (paternal) Fortney, Groves & Summers and (maternal) Armstrong, Boylen & Fawley all of whom eventually ended-up in West Virginia including those who migrated early-on from Maryland, Pennsylvania & (old) Virginia.

The majority of memorials I have created are of my relatives. However, I have created some memorials for unrelated folks whose headstones I just happened to photograph while visiting a particular cemetery. If I have created a memorial that you'd like transferred to you, please send a note via normal channels under the 'Edit' tab of the memorial with a comment stating your relationship to that person.

Headstone Photos: permission is hereby given to relatives to use my headstone photos for their personal use. You can right click on a photo and select to Save to your computer.

If you are or think you are related to me, please contact me by email and/or visit my website.

Mary Summers Lambdin
There was no Lambdin name on the marker. I did find in the Humphreys County, TN Gen. website a James Franklin Summers in the 1860 Census that show names of some of the children that match those listed in the as siblings to Mary. It shows they lived in the 1st Civil District of Humphreys County and that is the area that the Summers Cemetery is located. Don't know if this will give you any lead or not.

RE: Mary W Summers #128011849
I added the photo I had taken to the Mary W. Summers Lambdin memorial. There is no doubt that they are the same person. Do you want me to delete my memorial of her? Also there were some Lambdins who ran a funeral home in Waverly, TN some years ago, don't know whether they might be related to her by marriage.

RE: Chrislip Cemetery
I sent a request to Find A Grave to add "AKA Chrislip or Crislip Cemetery" to the record. We'll see what happens. I doubt they'll take off the Oreslip part, as it's on an official record.

This is how it all started with the Christlieb, Chrislip or Crislip surnames. The County Clerks tried to spell it as best they could. That's why I officially changed my back to Christlieb from Chrislip in 1982. But that's just me.

RE: Cemetery name
The Oreslip Cemetery is not the correct name. The locals in the area call it the Chrislip or Crislip Cemetery. When I was there in 1994, there was no sign, and I had to ask the locals where it was. I believe the County Records have it as Creslip, but somebody transcribed the records as Oreslip. Even Google maps have it as Oreslip. I have three generations of Chrislip and Crislips buried there. If I lived in the area, I'd take the photos for you. Unfortunately I live in Colorado.

RE: Mary (Neville) Hartman #23731384
The WV Division of Culture and History lists a death record
showing 4/30/1903 as birth date and no marriage or birth record for Mary Neville. The tombstone (recently placed) at the Howesville United Methodist Church Cemetery indicates 1902. I was going by the tombstone since most of the 1934 original death records were hand written, I thought it would be humanly possible to have been written poorly enough to be mis-read.

Your call on this one. Do not envy you it.

Del: Thanks for your response. I will search through what I have get back to you, although it may take me a bit of time because I am in the middle of selling and moving to another state. I would like to clear this up so I have the right information!! And it is nice to know you're a cousin, because I have so little contact with any Summers relatives! Anne

RE: Christian Biller #66324739
Del, So glad you wrote. I am descended from Christian's 2nd wife (who was his former sister-in-law) Elizabeth Frances Moomaw Coyle/Coil/Kyle Biller. Her sister was Roseanna Moomaw Biller who was Christian's first wife. All of his sons are also Roseanna's sons. I placed the pictures for all family members, so please share them. They were shared previously by another Biller/Coyle family member. I also have the Rusk County History, should you need me to look something up. I can't find this book anywhere on the internet, so has not yet been digitized. It's probably in the Rusk County Library, however. If I can assist let me know. And welcome to my circle of cousins.
