Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been researching my families since 2000 which consist primarily of (paternal) Fortney, Groves & Summers and (maternal) Armstrong, Boylen & Fawley.

The majority of memorials I have created are of my relatives. However, I have created some memorials for unrelated folks whose headstones I just happened to photograph while visiting a particular cemetery. If I have created a memorial that you'd like transferred to you, please send a note via normal channels under the 'Edit' tab of the memorial with a comment stating your relationship to that person.

Headstone Photos: permission is hereby given to relatives to use my headstone photos for their personal use. You can right click on a photo and select to Save to your computer.

If you are or think you are related to me, please contact me by email and/or visit my website.

Thanks for the correction, I made changes. I don't know how that happened. He was a distant cousin.

RE: Norvel James Fortney #12465679
Hello Del!

Mr. Fortney is my wife Oneta (Currence)'s sister Ruth's husband's father. She said that all she remembers about Norvel is that he was the oldest Fortney around.

I just checked on ancestry.com and the West Virginia Vital Research (www.wvculture.org) website and I could not find any additional info about the individuals you mentioned.

Good luck to you in you research, always, and,

Happy Hunting!

I was too fast with the key!!!

I found here James and Lucille were together after their marriage until she died so I doubt he was married to Katria unless the contributor has prove that I did not locate. That is very possible. The census records has him listed as Tom in several years. Guess you know all this! Happy researching.

I have been working on the question you asked.

Edmund had been added to her memorial. I am not aware where that information came from. They were not married as far as my researching goes.

About Katria Curry...I can not find where she and James Thomas Singleton were married.....James Thomas Singleton and Lucille Summers were married July 25, 1920 in Graham, Young County, Texas.

Hi, I looked for Albert Fortney husband of Dorothy Melrose on ancestry.com and it seems all those who have him in their family tree have different dates then those on the tombstone for Albert F. Fortney in the Olive-Tennant Cemetery.

Here are they dates they have:

Albert Franklin Fortney
Birth 7 Apr 1907 in Victoria, Preston, West Virginia
Death 29 Nov 1989 in Beverly, Randolph, West Virginia

If you can figure out this puzzle Please let me know.
