Bio and Links
Bio Photo My research of family names include:

Soccorsi, Ciampanella, Santolini, Lalli, & Lauri families - Colle, Arquata del Tronto, Ascoli Piceno, Marche Italy region and their descendants both in Italy and the US.

Pegley(Pagliari)- Italy and US

Hardman, Fortney, Sigley, Bolyard, Burgoyne in US.

My mother's relations are in and around Masontown, Preston, WV where apparently every one there is related by marriage.

My father's relations are in Preston County as well as Gilmer, Ritchie and Wood county.

I have based my information on here by cemetery books, WV vitals and family knowledge. If the Italian name is spelled one way when born, but changed to Americanize it, I put the American name on here with a note of the original spelling. Just because the birth certificate says one thing, when a person dies they could have changed their name-whether it is their first, middle and or last - it happens.

Helmick Family Line
Dear Corine,

I am a descendant of the Helmick Line. My great grandmother married into the Helmick Family. I have a family tree on family echo. I'd noticed you have done a lot of Helmick Memorials. Most of the names are on my family tree. I was wondering if you were any relation to them. I don't have any Hardmans on my tree, but I could have easily looked over a name. Just wondering, but I appreciate all you've done for my family. If you are related to the Helmicks, I could help you in your research. (I have a fake name to keep my identity hidden.)

Sincerely,
Ann O. Nymous

RE: Helmick Line
I was at the Sugarlands Cemetery on August 3, 2014 for the Helmick reunion. My grandfather, James Bruce Helmick n grandmother Martha Elizabeth are buried close to Myles Pleasant Helmick n M.P. Helmick(Mordecia) All of the Helmicks buried in the new Eglon cemetery are direct relatives of both of us. I was raised 2 miles from there.
