I was born in Morgan County on March 28, 1929 to Emanuel and Carrie Allison Ponter. Upon graduation from high school at Eva I moved to Nashville, TN to attend business school. I married John Raymond Setters on June 18, 1948. In 1950 we moved to Memphis where our son, John Emanuel, was born on November 7, 1956. In 1964 we returned to the Nashville area and live in Whites Creek, 12 miles north of Nashville. We are both retired. In 1992 I published a book on my family and the communities of Greasy Cove, Lawrence Cove and Rock Creek as well as including graduates of Eva High School. The name of the book is "Traces in the Sand" and can be found in the Decatur and Hartselle libraries.I do genealogy and enjoy recording burial information.
