Please let me know if you find a mistake or something I can add to a memorial. While I have walked many a cemetery, I get most of my information from historic books/obit's/bio's and newspaper articles. The newspapers were not so concerned with correct spelling or dates, and some of the tombstones themselves are hard to read...so while I try the best I can to be accurate, I do make typo's and admit...Im not perfect.

If you would like me to transfer a memorial to you for one of your friends/loved ones, let me know, I will be glad to. I am not interested in giving memorials for the purpose of numbers, if they are close to you I don't mind, if you just want someone else to do the work for you, I do.

The reason I love Find A Grave is:
When I was a little girl my grandfather was a grave digger. He used to pick me up and take me with him, getting to the cemetery at dusk, as back then you dug the graves by hand, equipment was a no-no. He taught me to respect a cemetery.
Its the last place and the last chance for the person who has passed on....to have someone remember them.
He taught me to think about that little dash between the birth and death date. That tiny little dash represents the persons entire life.
It doesn't tell you if they were a parent, if they had hardships, if they were rich or poor, but it shows that they lived on earth and were loved by someone.
My friends thought I was crazy to go with him to help dig graves at night, he would say, "no one in here can hurt you, it's the one's outside this place that can".
We need to preserve our cemetery's....the final records of our life.
I consider everyone's life important and even tho I don't know most of the folks I have entered God knows them, and their life means something to Him. I hope this helps their family and friends, and future generations, who can log on to FAG and find out a little genealogy.
FAG gives a voice to those who are not in the history books, or the sports records, they let us put our family, the true hero's of our past who make us what we are, or will become in the future, out there for the world to see and honor.

I thank God for saving me, blessing me with the hope of Heaven, and giving us Jesus and the Holy Spirit....where would any of us be without Him?
