Conducting research on the life and works of Philadelphia poet Florence Earle Coates (1850-1927) led me to the Church of the Redeemer (Episcopal) Cemetery in Bryn Mawr, PA in August of 2009, where Mrs. Coates is buried alongside her husband. Also buried nearby at the cemetery is Mrs. Coates' brother, George H. Earle, Jr., and many of his descendants--including his son, former Pennsylvania Governor George H. Earle, III. I have attempted to give as accurate an accounting as possible of headstone inscriptions, familial relationships, etc. Please keep me informed of any errors in documentation.
