Bio

I am a retired professor of aerospace engineering, currently residing in Starkville, MS. I was born August 13, 1945, son of Aubrey Elijah and Ida Lou Boyd Gatlin, and have lived nearly all my life in Mississippi.
My paternal ancestors are Gatlin, Dunn, York, Hixon, and Mathis in east Tennessee, and Gatlin and Banks in coastal North Carolina. My Gatlin forebears first settled in coastal North Carolina in Craven County. My maternal ancestors are Boyd, Cartledge, Winfrey, Minter, Lewis, and Love, mostly in Montgomery County, MS, and Chester County, SC.
