______________________________
After 10 years I have changed my public name to include my wife's as she adds memorials for me from time to time and also (sometimes willingly, sometimes just because she loves me) helps me hunt for stones and take photographs.
______________________________
As I said I have been on Find A Grave for over 10 years but have only recently really started doing it seriously. I have begun photographing entire cemeteries in Stoddard County (which is a huge chore). I just want to make sure that EVERY person buried has a memorial and sometimes that is very tough to do. Photographing entire cemeteries will allow me to make sure everyone has been recorded.

I follow these guidelines when creating memorials / posting photos:

Because Find A Grave states it is against policy, I no longer post photos of people from obituaries. I also do not post entire obits which include survivors unless it is requested by family. I will however provide a link to the full obituary when possible.

I have recently began transcribing stones which makes it a lot easier, although it does not fulfill photo requests. I apologize if I post a photo to a memorial that you have already taken. I only intentionally do that if there is a distinct difference in my photos, ex: shadows, aging, condition of stone, etc.

I WILL NOT remove a memorial that I create that you have already created IF you created it while that person was still alive. When someone passes I search their name and the year. If you violated the rules by creating a memorial 5 years before someone passed, I will let Find A Grave delete my memorial. Please don't expect me to do it.

As far as myself, most of my recent ancestors are from the Mound City / Pulaski County area in Illinois, the St. Louis Missouri area (and further south) near Mississippi Co. Missouri. That is the areas where the Atkinson's are mostly from.

The Weber side of my family are from the Illinois area also, however I have recently traced my great-great-great grandparents back to Alsace-Lorraine which is very exciting, however making it complicated to get further back.

Along with the Atkinsons and Weber (aka Webber's), other surnames include Shelly, Crittendon, and Bunch.

HAPPY HUNTING!!!
