"What is it about that place that brings tears to your eyes? I tell you, walking through a cemetery and seeing the same names there that I know...oh, it was so poignant." --- Mavis Fruge

I've been researching my children's ancestors since 1995 when my father gave me a condensed version of his grandfather's diary. (I now have in my possession the full diary which I am slowly but surely transcribing.) I am also fortunate to have photos, documents, and the old family Bible complete with many old family records from my mother's ancestors and I have been deemed the Family Historian by my husband's family and have many photos and documents given to me by his sister for safe keeping.

It is my goal to preserve these photos, records, facts and stories by way of Internet storage where they will remain long after I am gone and to make these things available for the use of future researchers. In this way I hope to honor my ancestors and create interest for my immediate family members who have entrusted me to be the keeper of our past.

Names I am researching include: Allison, Anderson, Bauman, Bishop, Blevins, Bloomer, Boutcher, Brashears, Cook, Cox, Cundiff, Darling, Davis, Delaney, Dungan, Evans, Fletcher, Gollaher, Grabeel, Grunden, Hartzell, Huckstepp, Jackson, Ketcham, Larimer, Leonard, Logsdon, Lord, Martin, Mattingly, McIlvoy, Melvin, Metcalf, Miller, Newby, Osborn(e), Owen, Patterson, Rice, Rogers, Root, Rosenbaum, Runyan, Schiedenhelm, Schmetzer, Smith, Sutton, Townsend, Trowbridge, Tyree, Vaughn, Wallen, Wheaton and many others in areas of Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Arkansas, Texas and Oklahoma.
