Bio

I am the great great granddaughter of Robert Hightower Hughes (1811-1867), the great granddaughter of William Thomas Hughes (1836-1898), the granddaughter of Enoch Lester "Brownie" Hughes (1886-1972) and the daughter of Virgil A. Hughes (1911-1995). My Hughes family begins in Franklin County, Alabama with Robert.William Thomas moves to Young County, Texas with his family. Wichita County, Texas with Enoch and finally Ector County with Virgil.

I am a retired social worker and have researched my family lines since 1978. After I retired in 2004 I began serious research on a full time basis.
