Family history is important to me. Most of those loved ones have passed, but knowing the past and keeping their memory alive is how I've continued on in their absence.

I have been conducting genealogy research since the 1970s. I am happy to share my information with others as requested. Nearly all information gathered by me has been compiled the hard way, from libraries, court houses, historical centers, and by walking through cemeteries.

I have shared much of my research with many cousins over the years. I am pleased to share it. There are some however who claim my research as their own without lending me credit for the hard work. I have flown and driven many miles, interviewed many people, expended countless hours in libraries and courthouses. If you use my posted information or photos, please lend to me the credit instead of using my data as your original information.

I do my utmost to respect and protect the privacy of the living. I have assisted many others in obtaining local information. Please place requested information within the subject line of emails. Sorry but I do not participate in social mediums such as facebook and twitter.

I am currently translating the birth, death, and marriage records for the village of San Gregorio Magno, Salerno Province, Campania, Italy for the following periods:
The Napoleonic Period ~ 1809 through 1812, complete. Includes 563 birth records, 181 marriage records, and 466 death records.
The Restoration Period ~ 1822 through 1864, partial. Marriage records complete. Birth and death records completed through 1834.
The Italian Period ~ 1866 through 1945, partial.
I am happy to share this information upon request.

I am not so concerned with how many memorials I manage. That is not important to me. What is important to me is depicting the person as accurately and as respectfully as possible from all historical records and resources available. I have written many biographies and provided other pertinent data to thousands of these memorials at this and other websites.

If there are memorials I have created or maintain who are your family members, please send me a message and I will be happy to transfer them to you, unless they are my direct ancestors.

Nothing makes our ancestors seem more real than to walk where they walked and to stand where they finally came to rest. They all had a heart and soul and lived and loved. Their lives were so much more than a birth date and death date with a dash in between.

I thought this was a great quote: "When you remember me, it means that you have carried something of who I am with you, that I have left some mark of who I am on who you are. It means that you can summon me back to your mind even though countless years and miles may stand between us. It means that if we meet again, you will know me. It means that even after I die, you can still see my face and hear my voice and speak to me in your heart. For as long as you remember me, I am never entirely lost."
