Born in Forney, Texas and raised in the community of Lawson whis is now part of the city of Mesquite, Texas. Attended public school in Mesquite and graduated from Mesquite High School. Then off to college at East Texas State University (now Texas A&M - Commerce)where I earned a degree in Computer Science and Agriculture. Married for over 45 years with 2 daughters, 3 granddaughters, 1 great-granddaughter and 4 great-grandsons.

Caught the genealogy bug about 1990 and been working at it off and on ever since. Love to visit and photograph old cemeteries, courthouse record archives and genealogy sections of libraries whenever possible.
