I was born in Shreveport La. and most of my family is from the Ark-La-Tex area. My paternal grandmother, Ruth Kathryn Alspaugh, was born and raised in Arkansas,while my paternal grandfather, Paul Lamar Odum was born in Keatchie, La.
My maternal grandmother, Eula Frances Leopard, was born in Shreveport, while my maternal grandfather, James Wright Gill, was born in Glenmora La.
I am currently tracing several surnames that compose the majority of my family tree. These are:
