I love to take photos and love Genealogy!!!!! I also love civil war history and really enjoy taking photos of civil war headstones. Please contact me if you are in need of any headstones that you want a photo of. I would love to help you out. I am in Southeast South Dakota/Northwest Iowa. I have been to several area cemeteries and just might have a photo on file that you might need that I haven't had a chance to upload to Find-A-Grave website yet.

I would be happy to transfer any memorial if they aren't immediately related to me.

That being said, please read the following carefully.

I will gladly transfer within the guidelines and am more than happy to make corrections and additions to those memorials which fall outside of the guidelines. If memorials I've transferred are stripped of the obit or photos, I won't transfer anymore to that person. I do not transfer "all" of any name. Please use virtual cemeteries for the purpose of collecting "all" your relatives.
Please use the edit key for transfers and
changes or corrections.

Photos I take may be used, no need to ask permission, but please give me credit, as FAG photo takers are volunteers who provide their own gas and hours of time to go take photos, edit them and upload them. Please put "Headstone photo taken by FAG Volunteer, Janet #47179043 in the description box. Thank you. Give credit where credit is due.

I include the newspaper or funeral home when adding an obituary for future relatives who are trying to build their family. Yes obituaries are very helpful for anyone doing research on this person's memorial. So please add the obituary if I send you the obituary. I will add all obituaries I get sent to me to be added. If you don't have the time to enter more than the date born and the date they died, maybe you shouldn't be adding the memorial for that person. Every persons life should be remembered for more than just a couple dates.
A name with "unk" "unk" for the dates is no memorial at all. My purpose is a full and complete memorial.

And as for duplicates--"Because so many people add data to Find A Grave, there are often duplicate cemeteries and duplicate memorials added. This is a very common situation and is quite difficult to resolve in a way that keeps everyone happy. Before adding a memorial, search the cemetery to see if a record with that name has already been added. If you are adding a memorial for someone who has recently passed or who does not have a physical grave or memorial marker in a cemetery (perhaps their ashes were scattered), please do a general search on Find A Grave (do not enter a location) to see if a memorial has already been created for that person. If you find a memorial has been added but has incomplete or incorrect information, instead of creating a duplicate memorial use the tools provided to submit corrections, additions or a transfer request via the "Suggest A Correction" link under the 'Edit' tab on the upper right of the memorial. Never deliberately create a duplicate memorial". To me this means, send an edit, do not just make a duplicate. FAG has enough unintentional duplicates!

Thanks for all your volunteering hours to Find A Grave. Together, as a team, we can keep FAG updated.
