My husband, Mark, and I have purchased land with the Smith family cemetery in Emanuel County,GA. Mark is a great-great grandson of the civil war soldier buried there, David Harrison Smith.
We are researching the other graves in the cemetery. There are two adult slabs and one baby slab.
We think David H. Smith's wife, Mary Hooks Smith, is buried to the left of him. The baby grave is the twin children of Tom Smith, Bernie and Berniece Smith.
One report listed two other adult graves in the cemetery (although they are unmarked if they are there) as being David and Mary's daugther, Martha Davis and her husband, Andrew Jackson Davis.
We would like to positively identify all graves and put markers up and a fence.
