I am Vince Katinas, the historian for the Squadron A Association , working in conjunction with Linda Robinson, located in NYC. Our area of interest are members and troopers that served in Squadron A and successor military organizations. These are, First Hussars ( 1884 -1889 ), Troop A ( 1889 ), Squadron A, Troop A NY Volunteer Cavalry ( Spanish-American War), 1st NY Cavalry, 105th Machine Gun Battalion ( WW 1 ), Squadron A New York Guard ( Depot Troop , Mexican Border & WW 1 ), 51st Machine Gun Squadron, 101st Cavalry 1922 - present, and 251 Battle Group.
Additional areas of interest are Troop C, Troop C NY Volunteer Cavalry ( Spanish-American War ), Squadron C, 1st New York Cavalry, 104th Machine Gun Battalion ( WW 1 ), 106th Machine Battalion ( WW 1), 102nd Trench Mortar Company ( WW 1 ) and 101st Cavalry.
This is along term project, with over 130 years of history, we have many Troopers to remember. We encourage troopers, relatives & friends to add to our site. Please help with omissions and corrections.
