|Ellen Sutherland Butler||Henry Miller Photo|
Sorry about the blank message - I hit the enter button when I meant to hit the tab button.
Anyway, I took a picture that shows both of Henry's headstones. Obviously I had to get back from it to get both in the shot but if you would like to have that picture for your files I would be glad to email it to you. Just let me know where to send it.
And sorry it has taken so long for me to visit the cemetery. As you know the weather has been very hot and I have not been well. But I was determined to check it out.
|Ellen Sutherland Butler||Henry Miller duplicate entry|
I revisited Enoree Baptist Church Cemetery and have figured out why there are two headstones for Henry Miller. The photo I took in August 2013 shows Henry Miller's birth date as 1839. But the "newer" headstone placed after the death of his wife has his birth date as 1940. I set up the new memorial page just in case there happened to be two Henry Millers. But after seeing that the headstone I snapped sits up against the border of the Miller plot and faces the side with Henry's name on it I believe that since Henry died first, he was buried and a headstone was placed on his grave. Years later his wife passed away (1924). I would imagine that her family decided to have a large headstone with both there names and info on it. Thus placing the new stone so Henry's name lines up with his grave(and original stone)and Mary is buried beside his him.
I deleted the memorial page I set up but I did add my photo to his memorial page that has the newer stone with a caption that this was his original headstone. Hope you find this satisfactory. Thanks, Ellen Butler

Hey again. I sent you and update on Vera Foy Dobbins. I was just checking to see if you received it and the note I added or did my email go to Junk Mail as several folks have told me, regards.

|keelee||Uncle, Otis Vasco Stewart|
Jane, I was researching at Graceland West Cemetery in Greenville, SC for my uncle above. I can give you more information. Vasco as we called him, was the son of Annie Kate Stewart (husband Dayton Stewart). His sister, Margie Bryant Stewart lived in Pelzer, SC, married Eddie L Bryant. Both are buried in old Silverbrook Cemetery in Anderson, SC, along with my Stewart great-grandparents. (I have pictures of their headstones on Find A Grave)
There is going to be a Stewart Reunion in July near Moonville, SC if you are interested. I don't know the exact date right off but it is written down. If you want more info please message me. Flemingm1@aol.com. I don't come to Find A Grave a lot.
