I started doing family research/genealogy about 10 years ago after my parents passed away. I realized that though I had grown up with my grandparents (paternal & maternal) and many of my great grandparents on both sides my children were not going to get that luxury. I wanted them to know who and where they came from. It began a journey that has been enlightening, educational, & most of all fun. |
I have met so many awesome people along the way especially those willing to give their time and effort to track down some scrap of information so that I could move on to another branch in the tree. There have also been several distant family members who had done a lot of the work ahead of me and for that I am deeply indebted. They shared what they had without any hesitation. And because of those people and the help they provided to me I try to pass it on whenever possible.

|SMH||RE: Malissa Hinsley Bates transfer|
Ok, though I am directly related to her herself, not by marriage. She was my double-great-grandfather's sister. She and my double great grandfather (John H. Hinsley) were both children of Robert Hinsley.

thank you Victoria for your time and efforts in volunteering for this wonderful organization. (I added a picture of my mom's gravestone to her file as it wasn't on the site when you took the picture)many thanks again!

|LezleeO||RE: McCallen Linked in PA|
Thank you so much! I have been looking for those graves for over a year - and the pictures are great!
There are probably more family members in that cemetery, so I have booked marked it and I'll keep an eye out!

|Tony||RE: Hightower duplicate|
I presume the duplicate has been removed. It looks as though the only Hightower memorial you created is for Paul Ray Hightower.

I have removed my memorial per your request. However, I noticed that on my memorial I and the gravestone picture shows the birth year have 1861 and not 1881. Do you have different information?

|T-Lou||Thomas C Altman|
Thomas is not in Park Lawn Cemetery in Jamestown, PA. This was mis-information in the newspaper. Tom passed away Dec 28, 2012 and was cremated.

Thanks, Victoria, for linking Alexander with his parents. Great feeling having the family connected.
|Judy Cain Bowser||Clarence & Cecil Buchanan|
Sorry, Victoria, but I don't seem to find Clarence and Cecil Buchanan in my Ancestry family tree. Could you let me know who their parents were along with birth and death dates.
|Larry King Jr.||Kunsman|
