Regarding gravemarker photos I have uploaded... READ the caption for that particular photo and if it states that someone else has allowed me to upload the photo then that means you must contact them for permission, not me, before you post elsewhere. Please respect the copyright held by others.

If the gravemarker photo caption does not specify anything about special copyright, then it is a photo I took and I grant you permission to use it for your personal use. I also grant permission to historical societies, churches, schools or similar nonprofits to use the images for any purpose they wish including "commercial use" in publications or other services they provide.

Please attribute the source as "From FindAGrave.com - Used with written permission from photographer."

If the photo is from a memorial card -- source notation is not needed as it is not my work.

For transfers, please include your relationship to the person in your message and it needs to be sent through the [Edit] process on that memorial page so I know which memorial you are referring to.

I do some transfers beyond standard FindAGrave guidelines especially memorials for those not in my family tree. A few words of explanation can help me decide.

EDITS

I generally include your suggested edits for the BIO section just as you send them except for editing obvious typos or if I contact you about discrepancies with information I have. I do remove information regarding living people per FindAGrave standards; you need to let me know that you have verified that no currently living people are mentioned in any information you send.

I am gracious about removing unwanted photos from memorial pages unless I feel they are of some historical significance. Please provide memorial # along with name and birth & death dates so I know which memorial you are referring to.
