As a VOLUNTEER CONTRIBUTOR of my time, |
energies, and talents at this website, my mission for this project has been to:
1. FIND graves (and cemeteries), 2. PHOTOGRAPH markers, 3. ENTER photos at FAG
Therefore, ALL my PHOTO entries are (in virtual reality) 'volunteer' photos! Please respect FAG guidelines, and copyright LAW by NOT copying/enhancing and then RE-POSTING any of my photos! Thanx!

|Kimberly||memorial pages #112104008, 5395586, 10921518, 5235017, 5235020, 5235024|
Please remove pictures you have posted from the above listed memorial pages so that we, the family, can add our own remembrances in honoring our loved ones. Though I'm sure you meant well, I believe you would agree that your photos are taking up space that my family should have access to. Three pictures you took and posted are of markers that were, at the time, not readable as they needed cleaning.
Also, I'm wondering from where you obtained the picture that we used in the obituary for my mother, Mrs. Yvonne Bradley Goodman?
More importantly, is that you remove the pictures and soon. Your consideration and timely response to my request is sincerely appreciated.

From Find A Grave/Ancestry FAQ
"Will Find A Grave submissions start showing up on Ancestry.com? Will data that I add to Find A Grave show up on Ancestry.com?
•Find A Grave content has been showing up on Ancestry.com for some time now because Ancestry.com has been indexing publicly available Find A Grave pages, much in the same way that Google and other search engines gather data."
"Will Ancestry put contributed Find A Grave content behind the Ancestry paid wall?
•No. Just as today, the Find A Grave data that appears on Ancestry.com and other sites requires no subscription to access it. This policy will be maintained going forward."
# 74399852 can you put the same tomb stone on Robert Yarbrough. God Bless

I see you have photographed Mamie Foster and her husband Thomas Y Foster in the Patton-Jones Cemetery. I am wondering if there is also a Minda Cawhorn-Foster buried there. She died 10/23/1939. Prior to her death she lived with Thomas and Mamie. We have been unable to locate where she was buried as well her husband John Henry Foster (d. 2/20/1920). This has been a arduous search for many years. Thank you so much for the time you have spent photographing so many grave sites and your assistance for our family.
|Iris Meshell||RE: Deleted pages . . .|
I too am upset by this new development. Find-A-Grave was such a great program, but it seems that the apple cart has been turned over. If we delete established memorials, all the hard work will have been in vain....including the picture-taking, uploading, and family linking. I'm still hoping that a solution can be found.
|Iris Meshell||RE: automated correction feature|
It seems as if all of the bugs haven't been worked out of this new system yet. Thank you so much for your helpful info. I certainly don't want for the spouses' links to be destroyed in order to gain the parents' links! This is terrible .... I'm so sorry for all the extra work I've put on you! Have you noticed that a lot of the Arlington Cemetery memorials have been deleted? There used to be over 7,000 memorials and hundreds have been deleted.
|Iris Meshell||RE: OK Speed demon . . . lol|
Hi, Widow ...
I was not aware of how this linking process works. I had submitted many links for a big cemetery in Union Parish and conferred with the contributor, who said that she hadn't received any notifications of my requests, yet they had been fulfilled. I thought it was all handled directly by Find-A-Grave; so, I've been catching up on all of my previous research in order to "file away" the paperwork I've accumulated. Now that I know more, I will try to limit the quantity! Thanks for your note.
|CemeteryRose||RE: Alice Rosenthal - AR|
Alice appears to have been born between 1865 and 1869. Her 1900 federal census record (Natchez, Adams County, Mississippi) shows January 1865 as her date of birth. Her tombstone inscription suggests a later date, about 1868-69, while her Hot Springs, Arkansas, death record suggests a birth date of about 1867-68.

I have more information on C G Moffett (he was married to my Great Grandmother) I would like to add the information but can't find a way to do so.
