A Texan's family tree is like a beautiful rose with many fragrant petals, but with any rose, you have thorny branches that needs pruning on occasion....the same goes with families.
Beatitudes of the Family Genealogists:

Blessed are the great grandmothers, who hoarded newspaper clippings and old letters, For they tell the story of their time. Blessed are all the grandfathers who filed every legal document, For this provides proof. Blessed are the grandmothers who preserved family Bibles and diaries, For this our heritage. Blessed are fathers who elect officials that answer letters of inquiry, For some, this is their only link to the past. Blessed are mothers who relate family traditions and legends to the family, For one of her children will surely remember. Blessed are the relatives who fill in family sheets with extra data, For them who owe the family history. Blessed is any family whose members strive for the preservation of records, For theirs is a labour of love. Blessed are the children who will never say, "Grandma, you have told that old story twice today."written by Unknown;

I will start on the Miller/Campbell line in January. I should be finished with the Formby/Fomby line by then.

Are you a member of Ancestry? If not would you like a invitation to view my Formby/Fomby tree and my Miller/Campbell tree there?

RE: Family Lines
I have 363 Millers and 302 Campbells.

A few of the Millers are the same, but I saw no duplicates on the Campbells.

My 10th great grandfather John Miller II married Agnes Anne Campbell daughter of Duncan Campbell 7th Laird of Glenorchy, also known as Black Duncan.

Several of the Campbells I have place on Find A Grave. I also have some really amazing stories to go with some of the others.

This will be fun!

Thanks, your tree is so interesting. My great grandmother is Lillian burilla Fielder Dewees. I have to look at your tree some more. Wonder why Grau is on Texanna's headstone.

Family Lines
Nancy are you interested in the family lines of my mother which are Miller, Lawson and Campbell? The Campbell line goes back to the Campbells of Breadalbane and beyond.

If so let me know.

When searching Mahala East & William Ridge Fielder it say their daughter, Texana married a Bicknell. I don't know, just thought it was interesting since no parents for Texanna Bicknell have been found.

Texanna Bicknell
Long shot but I keep coming up with Texanna Bicknell when searching Texanna Fielder. Could this be Fielder instead of Grau?

RE: Myrtle Lee
That would be perfectly fine with me. I'd be interested in knowing how you were related to her.

Absolutely. Feel free to use anything I post. I want to share genealogy and the history of our people, not sell it!

Elbert M Voss
Hi Nancy. Elbert was my great-grandfather and his middle name was not Mark. It was Merk. Please correct the findagrave name.

Thank you.
