Thank you so much for the wonderful picture you have taken for me & my family. It is apprecited by a lot of family.
A Texan's family tree is like a beautiful rose with many fragrant petals, but with any rose, you have thorny branches that needs pruning on occasion....the same goes with families.
Beatitudes of the Family Genealogists:
Blessed are the great grandmothers, who hoarded newspaper clippings and old letters, For they tell the story of their time. Blessed are all the grandfathers who filed every legal document, For this provides proof. Blessed are the grandmothers who preserved family Bibles and diaries, For this our heritage. Blessed are fathers who elect officials that answer letters of inquiry, For some, this is their only link to the past. Blessed are mothers who relate family traditions and legends to the family, For one of her children will surely remember. Blessed are the relatives who fill in family sheets with extra data, For them who owe the family history. Blessed is any family whose members strive for the preservation of records, For theirs is a labour of love. Blessed are the children who will never say, "Grandma, you have told that old story twice today."writen by Unknown;

I know! I had several in the Cox-Wright and some are still there. I know that cemetery well and it is not in Horry County; but Find-A-Grave makes it so difficult to straighten things out when they get messed up. Guess I'll wait for someone to come along who "knows the ropes" to help put it all togethere correctly!

I have no problem with you using the photo of Andrew Jackson Spruill and his wife, Elizabeth. The original photo is on file in the Bossier Parish Library Historical Center if you would like to get a better copy of it.
|C. R.||RE: Rufus Swann & other's|
You are welcome Nancy. I know I can count on you to add corrections as soon as possible and I truly appreciate that. In my opinion, you are a true findagraver!!

|Patricia Riordan-Faver||OLD GRAVE MARKERS|
For all family members who have a difficult time reading the inscriptions on weathered grave markers here is a little trick I picked up many years ago...
take a bag of white flower with you and blow a handful onto the surface of the marker. It is amazing how the images will appear.
I have used this method while visiting grave markers in cemetaries from the middle ages in Ireland and it works wonderfully.
THANK YOU all family members of the Southern States. I am so appreciative of how you revere and take care of our families final resting areas treating it truly as hallowed ground. THANK YOU.
Patricia Jean Riordan-Faver, a direct decendant of the Green and Reppond family.
