|Melvin Lindsey||RE: Photo Requests Coleman Cemetery|
Actually I was looking for genealogical info.

I was happy to update the memorial. Thank you for sharing your information. People like you make findagrave so nice.

No PLEASE do not use it there. They have a procedure for you to link back to findagrave.

Yes, I know Jack. We both serve on the Genealogy Committee together at SAR National HQ.

It's a mystery. I converted the cemetery for Maria Polly Stryker Brokaw, 32870964 from New Somerville to Old Somerville, and when I did that, your picture disappeared of the New Somerville cemetery, and two others appeared for the Old Somerville cemetery. So far, so good.
Then, I clicked on Request a Photo, and got an immediate response that I couldn't request a photo, because there was already a request on file. I've written to findagrave for help.
I'm hoping this mystery can be solved.

Please delete the picture of the New Somerville Cemetery in Somerset County, NJ from the memorial page for Maria Brokaw.
I've discovered I had her in the wrong cemetery. Her stone is in the Old Somerville Cemetery in Somerset Co, NJ.
I can't figure out how to delete the picture you posted, nor have I been able to figure out how to change the name of the cemetery at the bottom of the memorial page.
When you delete the cemetery photo, I would like another photo posted of the OLD Somerville Cemetery, along with a photo of the stone. Can you please help me?
Thanks so much.

I added the memorials noted, and the descendants, to my Johnson Family virtual cemetery. I wasn't familiar with that branch of the family, so thanks so much for contacting me.

I found the picture of your cousin in the 1943 "cruise book" for his regiment, the 24th Marines. I had a relative in the same battalion, who was also killed in action during the war.
I've been researching their unit for many years, and have a website at www.1stbattalion24thmarines.com - it's a newer design and doesn't have all of the biographies up yet, but you might be interested in some of the pictures and history.
If there's anything about Carroll that you'd like to have shared on the website, please email me at email@example.com and I'll be happy to help out!

You mean I added her on the 6th of last year ;)
I usually look in cemeteries of german names or other european names and add them. I guess he was not buried right next to them otherwise I would have add him. Do you know when he died?
And the change is also made already.
|Ellen Johnson||RE: Alice Schenck|
I am NOT family, just entering the photos I took. And the death certificate was from Ancestry. I don't have a hard copy. I didn't know if it was her, but there were enough similarities to forward it on. Hope it helped! Ellen
