I have been researching & collecting data on my family roots for over 30 years. |
All of my photos may be used without asking. However, all the headstone photos have been contributed by Find A Grave volunteers who should be recognized accordingly, for their time, effort and expense.

My pleasure. In addition, I created a memorial with photo for Earl S Peters (son) and Hannah Sumner Peters (wife?.

You're welcome! I added the additional photos. The Jacob Smith that I found is a different stone from the existing memorial for that name. He and Mary were next to the Smith stones that you requested. Mary's stone might say 1860, Jacob maybe 1850 something. I'll look in Dale Roadman's book to see if the stones were more readable when he transcribed this cemetery in the 1990s. I'll let you know!

I took photos of a few headstones at St. James that you might be interested in. Next to Susan Johnston was James a Johnston 1839-1905. By your Karns requests was a stone for twins Olive May and Ola Grace Karns. And by Frances & John Smith was Mary Smith and Jacob Smith, dates hard to read. And by Hannah & David Berlin was George, Susan and possibly Simon Berlin, also hard to read. You're welcome, as always for the photos!

I'm very happy to share the picture. There was another marker which we were looking for but unable to find. My grandfather Luther Paul's sister Martha Shockey Hathaway is also interred at Mt Zion. I have been tryin to reach somebody to see if they can tell me where her plot might be located.

You're welcome for the photos...more to come soon when we get back out there. Barbara

Happy to do it. Looks like he is buried with his wife's family. I posted those photos in case you are interested. Her foot-stone does not have a death date so I presume she is still alive.
|wanda nitterhouse||Joseph Shockey and Helen Fitz photo request|
Hi. I saw the photos requests for Joseph and his mother. I grew up in Chambersburg but now live an hour away. I did go the the historical society in Chambersburg, today to do some research and get plot locations for Norland photo requests which I hope to fulfill sometime.
Joseph and Helen are buried in the mausoleum which has always been locked when I tried to enter it. There is an on-site cemetery office, but it is managed by the grounds keeper who is usually not there or is busy mowing, opening/closing graves.
Keep your photo requests open and perhaps sometime I or someone else can fulfill them.

My pleasure. I also created memorials with photos for the nearby graves of Floyd Bennett, Catherine Bennett, Mary Bennett, and Edward Bennett. Added a photo to the existing memorial for Charles Bennett. Didn't know if they were related to Mary, but did want to bring them to your attention.

We're fine, hope you are too. Haven't done much cemetery trekking lately, terrible hot, humid summer, then lots of company this fall. It's too early for snow!! I hope to get back out before it hits here. Soon! Barbara

I added photos requested for Alma Kebort and Matilda Kebert McBride. I also added Alma's husband Charles, and Frederick and Addaline Kebert. Fred and Addaline are in the same plot as Matilda.
