Bio

I use Find a Grave to find the graves of Civil War soldiers for the "In Death Not Divided - Tombstone Survey and Burial Places of East Tennessee Civil War Soldiers," the registry at the East Tennessee History Center. I am a volunteer researcher on this project. As I discovered that many of the soldiers did not have photographs of their graves, I began making proof of burial photo requests.

My grandfather, A.J. Sims, was the Sims family genealogist at a time long before the internet, and he taught me to love it years ago.

At first, I wanted to just locate the graves of my families, later I worked to submit edits and link family members, and most recently my goal is to tell their stories through biographies on their memorials.
