My name is Dave and I've been a member of find a grave for many years. I started out searching for family and old civil war solders and got hooked. If I was to give any advice to anyone starting out it would be, Stick to the facts and don't assume anything, Also if you are taking a picture of a tombstone please do your best and take the time to wipe it off and make it as legible as you can without risking damage to the stone, A damp rag or a small whisk broom works fine. I have seen many photo volunteers take pictures of stones covered with dirt / mowed grass or other debris, Remember these pictures aren't just pictures to loved ones they are treasures. Good Luck
