My name is Pastor Edward "Eddie" Lee Tapper. I am an Independent Ordained and Licensed Christian Minster. I have lived in the Hudson, NC area all my life, except during my time in the United States Army. I am an Operation Desert Shield, Operation Desert Storm and Operation Desert Sabre veteran. Born in 1968, I am 54 years old. I am the Great-great-great-grandson of James Hickman, Great-great-grandson of William Davidson Hickman, Great-grandson of Jacob Ivey Hickman, Grandson of Glenn Taft Hickman and son of Mary Elaine Hickman Tapper and Robert William Tapper. I am married to my best friend, the former Ethel May Johnson and we have a 28 year old son, Jackson Lee Tapper, and a 27 year old daughter, Shelby Lynn Tapper. I live less than a ¼ mile from Sardis Cemetery and the Hickman Family Cemetary, in which I have many relatives at their final rest. Each year, before the Memorial Day Weekend, I place flags on our veteran's grave sites. I have been doing this for about 19 years. As a veteran, it is a privilege and an honor to perform this service on behalf of Hudson American Legion Post 392.
