Bio

I have extensive family trees for my own family and others on ancestry.com. My ID there is janicet1946. I'm happy to transfer management of my memorials to family members, just ask! PLEASE use the "Edit" tab and "Suggest a Correction" when doing so and give your FAG ID and relationship or reason for the transfer, to make it easy for me to transfer. I have transferred over 500 memorials so far.

If you are interested in a MAYFLOWER pilgrim connection, I have created a virtual cemetery called "Mayflower passenger graves" and begun following/creating links down through their descendants where possible.

I am the descendant of, so far, 14 verified DAR revolutionary war patriots:
PRICE, BENJAMIN CAPT - MD DAR Ancestor #:A093024
SCHOLL, JOSEPH (Pvt.) - VA DAR ancestor #A100971
SCHOLL, WILLIAM - VA DAR Ancestor #: A100991

These following have not been verified but strong DNA relationships confirm they are my ancestors:

I began by helping my mother with her genealogy research by locating our ancestors' graves. Then, I got involved with several friends, helping them create their trees and memorials. You can see the names we are following in my virtual cemeteries. Along the way, I have found others' ancestors and created their pages. Now I have documented our ancestry to Col. Daniel Boone which was great fun and required some sleuthing.

And, finding the "Women of the American Revolution" as well as trying to document the new DAR research effort, "Forgotten Patriots - Native Americans and African Americans". I also have a family tree file "1850's Census with Slave Names" [that documentation only made in Texas] to help those descendants find their ancestors. Next trying to break down several "brick walls."

Please feel free to use any photos I have posted in your research work. © Photo courtesy of Find-a-grave member #47361005

Note that, once I have dealt with a message, I will delete it, so if you don't see yours there, that's what happened.

PLEASE NOTE ..Find A Grave has something to help us update the memorials so if I have entered any information that is incorrect, please use the EDIT function for corrections. I want to keep the information as accurate as possible. I encourage transcription of documentation or uploads of scans to support the information.

PROBLEMS/BUGS with the NEW SYSTEM that I have (sometimes repeatedly) REPORTED:

1. captions on attached photos are extremely limited so that I must put the information in the memorial itself as well as trying to add it to the photo - STILL A PROBLEM;
2. the id for a person's name/member number in their profile has the time since they became a member embedded; when I copy the name and member number I get that "time stuff" which must be edited out - so now I don't bother to give the person credit for their photos, or I include it which looks dorky (SORRY)

IF YOU HAVE ANY OF THESE PROBLEMS, PLEASE look at the bottom right of the page and click on SEND FEEDBACK giving the memorial number and the issue so it can be investigated and fixed. I have reported all these issues.
