Bio

I started collecting vintage family photos when I was about 10 years old when my folks took me back to Iowa right after my great grandmother died. We had to go through her items and "old fashioned photos" which I begged to have). My mom and I went through and tried to identify them over the years. By the time I was in my 30s an elderly cousin of my mom's sent us pages of information on her side of the family and eventually we got information on both sides of the family. I filled in my family tree information with the help of my best friend, Sandra. I'm 76 now ( yikes!) and just realized one of my daughter-in-laws is also interested in geneology and has me on one of the LDS sites where, of course, I've found so much more information. I moved in 2017 and have my family albums safe in a couple of places. One of these days I'll get it together, so to speak. Last June one of my granddaughters graduated from high school and after I took a picture of her I realized she has a strong resemblance to my grandmother (mom's side and I have her high school picture taken in 1912). They look like twins! I've enjoyed making my vintage photo albums and I have a strong connection to my family from years ago.
