I am married I have three children and one grandchild:I am the baby girl of eight children born to Ellis and Maxine Slavens Woods. While growing up family history was never spoken about. I never had the privilege of knowing my grandparents so it made me have a desire to know where I came from. My research started my senior year of high school when a secretary in the school gave me four family group sheet telling me to document as much history from family members as possible. I still have those pages after all these years. One of my main goals at the time was to find family who might have a picture of my grandfather James Jarrett Woods. I still have not found a picture but the many lines that I have connected and the family and distant cousins I have meet along the way has been priceless. I would like to thank those who have been so gracious to help me along my journey. ----------------
My ancestors on my fathers Line is Woods, Davis, Bolinger, Hayes, Newberry, Terry, Newport My ancestors on my mothers line are Slavens, Ussery, Morrison, Taylor, Moore, Edwards, Holts, Campbell, Young, Ford, White, From my 1st marriage into Mashburn family and my oldest daughters lineage is Mashburn, Jay, Nutt, Landers and Mason , Robbirds- Robirds, Roberts , Ford, Friend, My sister marrried a Stockstill and Stockstill ties into my daughters heritage also. My oldest daughters heritage is just important to me as my other children. I may not be married into the family anymore but she is still a part of it, Sad that a family member of this line has forgotten. I will pass my daughters heritage to her some day. My 2nd husband's lineage is Montgomery, Chandler and Smith ================
