I began my genealogy in the spring of 2000 after the death of my Mom in January that year. It wasn't until October that I learned that my father (that I never knew) had been born with a totally different name than what he was using when he married my Mom. There began a wonderful legacy of Saum and Hendershott ancestral history. Now I was raised by a wonderful Dad, Robert Lane, who was a Roop grandson and our Roop family site is now on Spokt.com (since the MyFamily.com sites closed down in Sept. 2014). In addition to my Saum and Hendershot/Hendershott sites, I also have sites for my paternal Talbert family line, my maternal Burnett and Blair family lines, as well as my husband's Harrison, Steffey and Damron families.
