|Karen Ayers Weir||RE: Ella L. Carter|
I am unsure whom you are referring to, please give me more info
|goldenthreads||RE: James Pewitt|
Sorry, I meant Martha. I can send you a screen shot of both records and the marriage covers, if you would like.

Have looked at the marriage record for James and Mary. The date on the document is 3 August 1877. There is another record for James Pewitt and Nannie Hay, who I believe was a sister to Mary, dated Jan 1872. The other name on this record is John A Pewitt. Both James and John A signed this bond for the marriage to Nannie. One daughter, Savannah was born from the marriage in 1873.

Would appear that both of these men were married twice. James was married first to Nancy/Nannie Hay, Martha's sister and Jeremiah married Mary McNeal after his first wife died. Do your records reflect this?

hi...Ella L Carter is buried @ New Prospect Cemetery in Tishomingo , Mississippi. Can you tell me what her maiden name was?
|Teresa Brewington||RE: Robert Watts|
I can not find Robert Watts in my file, if you could send me the memorial number I would be happy to transfer it to you.
Hi, If your James, (brother to Robert and Susan) married Elizabeth Holland, then this is not my James, This is good news, now I can stop researching Mathew Brooks that is buried in the roadside grave in Williamson County. It is still possible that the Brooks living in Coffee and Williamson are related. also, I could not find your James after 1850 and be sure that was him. Thanks so much Mary, I have fixed my tree at ancestry...com
