I have been a genealogist since 1997 which followed my mother's 30 years of research. I live in the Chicago, IL area. I am researching the several branches within my family at any one time. One branch involves the descendents of my great great great great grandfather Michael Heer and his son Christian Heer who brought his family to the US on 25 Aug 1842 and then onto Galena, Jo Daviess county, IL. Christian's son, David and his wife, Martha Evans had 17 children-their families are spread out across many states. Martha Evans Heer's siblings and their families (12 in all) moved to areas outside of their native Wales, including the U.S. and England.
