Bio

I have been researching genealogy since August, 1989. I have traced some of my family back to England and France/Germany. My husband's family back to the East Coast, but not sure where they came from..
I have 4 children, 11 grandchildren and 8 gr-grandchildren.
I no longer work at the genealogy library. I am still a member and cut and save obits from the Paris News, to be copied and filed at the library.
I very much love putting up Memorials for loved ones. I also add others when I find an obit I can use for the dates. This is such a great site and I meet so many nice people. I add obits to the Death and Cemetery records if buried in Lamar County.

A LOVE POEM
I thought of you with love today
But that is nothing new
I thought about you yesterday
And days before that too
I think of you in silence
I often speak your name
Now all I have are memories
And your picture in a frame
Your memory is my keepsake
With which I'll never part
While God has you in His keeping
I have you in my heart
-------

(Dear Ancestor
Your tombstone stands among the rest neglected and alone. The name and date are chiselled out on polished, marbled stone.

It reaches out to all who care; It is too late to mourn. You did not know that I exist; you died and I was born. Yet each of us are cells of you in flesh, in blood, in bone.

Our blood contracts and beats a pulse; entirely not our own. Dear Ancestor, the place you filled one hundred years ago spreads out among the ones you left who would have loved you so. I wonder if you lived and loved, I wonder if you knew that someday I would find this spot, and come to visit you. )
