Chris, I see that you have requested a photo of grave of Isabel Powell Hidy at Gregg Cemetery, Clarke county, IA. We did photograph all graves in that cemetery and she does not have one. Also not listed in previous surveys. So for my records I have just listed her as possibly being buried there. Not my family but we live nearby so have tried to share records from local sources. Always disappointing to not find gravestones. Sorry.

RE: re: Baughn
Hi Chris, Its BEE guhn. It doesn't appear in the US until about the 1850's from Mecklenburg,Germany. There seem to have been this form of the name there back to @ least 1700's. I thought maybe Baguhn may have been a change or misspelling or left the Mecklenburg or Prussia area much earlier. Thanks for the reply. Suzy B

RE: Re:Margaret Ann Baughn Bryan
Did you have any more questions about your memorial that needs to be moved from New Silvercreek Cemetery to Silvercreek Cemetery?

RE: Re:Margaret Ann Baughn Bryan
Chris -

The NEW cemetery is listed on Findagrave as:
Silver Creek Cemetery
Also known as: Silvercreek Cemetery II

The OLD cemetery is listed on Findagrave as:
Silvercreek Cemetery Old
Also known as: Jamestown Cemetery

The cemetery listed on Findagrave as:
New Silvercreek Cemetery
is a duplicate and is going to be deleted when the 5 memorials have been moved. You apparently requested that the other memorial be deleted. (It was the first memorial in the CORRECT cemetery which was why I wrote to you, but that is now a moot point). However, your memorial is still in a duplicate cemetery and needs to be moved.

This should explain the situation for you.

Elon Brake
Do you know, definitely, in which cemetery Elon & Ruth Brake are buried? Can you tell me if Raymond Cemetery and Baughn are actually the same cemetery or 2 separate ones?

Someone has brought it to my attention that there are 2 memorials for Elon & Ruth, one in each of the above cemeteries.

Until I was contacted by that person, I had no idea there was a Raymond cemetery. I think you & I have emailed each other regarding Brake/Baughn memorials, in the past, & at the time, we were speaking about Baughn Cemetery.

Before doing anything further or contacting Find A Grave, I wanted to see if you could provide a bit of clarity for this puzzle. I appreciate any insight you may be able to provide.

Thank you!
