Bio and Links
Bio Photo We completed a survey of all known cemeteries in McMinn County plus transcribed McMinn County death certificates from 1914-1955.
Surnames we are reseaching: Marvin's lineage = Templin, Click, Bryant, Sisk, Smith, Waddell, Gross. Samme's lineage = Carpenter, Simpson, Hutsell, Julian, Warren
Whenever we go out to fill a request, we try to take photos of a few of the surrounding burials. Never know when you might help someone find a lost relative. We also take tombstone pictures of any veterans we see, as we try to honor ALL VETERANS regardless of when they served.
A big "THANK YOU" to all the Find-A-Grave volunteers who have taken tombstone pictures for us.
We are always working on adding veterans to national cemeteries. Our way of honoring our veterans.

John Harold James
Mr/Ms. Templin: I'm a staff writer for the Palm Beach Post in West Palm Beach, Fla. We're writing a piece on the February 1956 military crash at what's not Palm Beach International Airport that killed five people, including John Harold James, whose grave at Golden Gate National Cemetery you surveyed. Do you have ANY leads to relatives, friends, associates, or anyone who would have a photograph of M.Sgt. James. We worked the databases for days without luck. It's just too common a name. Thanks in advance for whatever help you can provide. My direct phone is 561 820 4418. Thanks.

Photo Request Memorial 3553634
I'd like to use the photo you've taken of William E. Bond, Memorial # 3553634 on my family history website at the URL below. William is my father's uncle.

I would of course list you as the photographer in the credits.

You have 2 memorials, in different cemeteries, with the same name & dates. See 155615282 & 156562551

Just wondering if these are the same folks; didn't see plot numbers to compare.

Please check

On closer inspection, I see that you have already included inscription on the memorials, and that answers my question. Thanks again.

Burch headstones in Buffalo Springs (Stanford KY)
Having been gone these past several months, I am just now looking at your photos which you supplied for William and for Elizabeth Burch from the Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford, KY. Thank you so much!
The one for Elizabeth raises a question for me. I know next to nothing about this family member, but I see on the headstone photo the words "Lydia Elizabeth" and then the rest of the words are obscured by lichen growth. Do you live nearby, and would it be possible to re-visit the grave and clean it so that the rest of the writing is visible? If not, do you have a contact in or near Stanford whom I could contact? The reason for my question is that I want to know if this marks the burial of one person (Lydia Elizabeth) or two (Lydia and Elizabeth), as I have in my records that there were two girls in this family: Lydia Ann & Elizabeth Rachel...but have no birth nor death dates for either one.

Thanks again.
