I'm retired and love doing family tree research. I live in Battle Creek, Calhoun County, Michigan. I got started doing genealogy in the early 1960's and got hooked. I love taking pictures in cemeteries, walking around reading the information on headstones. I love to get the very old scrapebook pictures from different family members to preserve and share with other family members who do not have the pictures. I also like filling in the blanks in my family tree. Photos I have posted may be used for nonprofit genealogical purposes as long as they are credited to me. If you find a mistake or missing information on the Memorials I put up, Please email me with the corrections or any other information. If you would like a memorial transfered to you, just send me an email.
I manage mainly Floral Lawn Cemetery, But add other Memorials alot.
Here are some things that would help make find-a-grave better and easier to use. Please use the "Edit" tab on upper right of the memorial to send suggestions or requests, so an automatic hyperlink is generated. Please provide memorial ID# for relationship link requests and your contributor ID# on transfer requests.
Please do a general search to make sure that someone hasn't added the person already before you do an entry. That will keep the duplicates to a minimum.
Please cite the place where you got the information or Picture and post it with the posting. Cite the Newspaper the obit appeared in, with the Name, Date and page.
Thank you for reading this and have a great time helping others in their quest on finding there family and friends.
Please Note: I do not respond to any unkind comments or requests.
RE: Coroy You are quite welcome. I enjoy finding informative info like this and hope that the family is overjoyed to see it when they visit the memorial. It helps connect the dots when doing a family search. I have tried to remember to add the source and for the most part I think I have done well but there are a few out there that I lost or did not have a source as the clipping was made by someone other than me. I try to always add the info you were looking for. I welcome those who add to my memorials too.
Clara Rugg Rathburn Hi Clara was my 2nd cousin My Grandmother was her aunt I was looking at the family you have listed for her And I want to let you know that Ora N Rugg was not her father but her brother Her Father was Ora Rugg Sr. I was wondering if you would mind letting me take over this site Thank You Shelley
Lizzie Mae Lynn I think you are right in saying she was Mr. Lynn's first wife. But, could you also state he was her second husband....I'm thinking she was married to a "Hale" and had some children by Mr. Hale.
RE: James Fry Memorial #146664648 Thanks, I only remember the date of birth, other than adding his wife and his father. His sister is also right there near him. Wasn't sure if I can do that or not. Thanks again.
James Fry Memorial #146664648 Thanks so much for doing a memorial for my Father in Law James Fry, I noticed a couple of issues, wondering about correcting them, I have a profile here, but haven't done anythingon here, and not sure if I can make the changes or you need to. His birth is listed as 1941, he was born in 1931, and his wife is the other half of his stone, Margaret Norien Chochoff. Thanks so much.
RE: Edits in Memorial Park Though your notes are appreciated there is no need to take the time for a note for each edit as I do a LOT of edits as I find more information. I appreciate the time you have taken in establishing the original memorials and in accepting the edits. Thanks for all you do.
