Bio

Proud to help the Find A Grave community with records and photos from Los Angeles and elsewhere as I travel!

I am a professional genealogist, though spend most of my time on passion projects and DNA these days.

I believe the work each of us does on this site should be a labor of love, benefitting both our own families and many others throughout time. Please DO NO HOARD. If you have 20,000 memorials and someone who is directly related (no matter the distance) to a memorial you manage but are not a relative, please transfer. Hoarding is NOT the way to further our community.

I have seen some horrible bios on this site where people try to claim copyright over public documents, public photos, etc. So, please know that any and all photos I post on this site which are original to me are FREE and AVAILABLE FOR YOUR USE in any non-commercial genealogical projects you choose.

I do not spend time or effort here to receive "credit" from anyone else, I simply aim to further understanding of our past and help those in the future who are trying to find their loved ones. Anyone who holds the information on their pages as "precious" or is afraid of "doing all the work then someone else gets the 'credit' if memorials are transferred," is sadly doing this for the wrong reasons - and perhaps should seek help.

If I manage a memorial for a relative to whom you're more closely related, and you'd like to take over, please request via the "Edits" button then in the "Suggest other edits" section.

My family's American roots started in the Longmeadow / Springfield Massachusetts area as well at the Hudson River Valley in New York. Moving west, I have a large group of relatives in Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin - then migrating in my parents' generation to the Southwest and the west coast. These families primarily immigrated to the States from Burgenland Austria/Hungary; Fehmarn, Germany; Somerset UK and Normandy, France

Family surnames of particular interest are: Cooley, Beggs, Walcott, Besaw, Liesenberg, Heiden.

"Enjoy yourself, it's later than you think!"
