I started researching my family history after my mother died from a hereditary disease but got hooked and have been climbing the family tree for over 30 years. I hope I have contributed to the family history for generations to come.|
I am a volunteer with the Portage Community Historical Society and they have allowed me to have a genealogy and historical research area in the Goin Museum. If you have an early Portage Township family, consider donating a copy of your family history to our museum.
My Favorite Poem
A Daisy Beside the Rose
by Diana Sue Lindley Horton
Among the many flowers, God,
Within Your garden fair,
May I, a simple daisy be
So proudly standing there.
I need not be the most admired,
Great beauty to disclose;
It's certain in Your garden,God,
Not all can be a rose.
'Twould be to me an honor,
If where Your garden grows,
I could but be a daisy -
That stands beside the rose.

ok just did.
|Michelle Willett Pierce||RE: Calvary Cemetery|
sure. I have been meaning to start another cemetery. Hopefully we will have nice weather.
Thank you, Kathy. You've done a wonderful job. I'm very new to this website, and as such do not know how to handle the records, so transferring them to me is likely not a good idea just yet.
I have added information regarding child/parent relationships to the Garnier grave sites in Calvary Cemetery. I will try to find a copy of my mother's obituary, which included her image (which also appears on her grave marker, if you lift the metal cap that covers it). I think I have a printed copy of it somewhere.
I will also try to provide links to the grave sites of the other deceased children of Rose and Edward J Garnier. I will also look for the grave site locations of my mother's parents and her brother.
Thank you very much,

If you get a chance, take a look at Uncle Fred's page. I almost have all of my mothers brothers and sisters.
Your help makes this fly,

Thank you for the Weber transfers, so glad I'm not the only one that has senior moments, sometimes mine last a lot longer. Your work is so appreciated and does so much to help me and others to make family connections. If only everyone on Find A Grave were so considerate. I'm trying to build a single source for the younger generations, to learn a little about their family.

Thank you very much for posting the memorial page for Louisa... she is my husbandʻs 1st great grand aunt. I would be happy to take over management of this page and any of her family that you might also have posted if you would consider it. Thanks so much....
