Whiting Maine Village Cemetery entries have been checked against meticulous research by the late Rebecca Hobart, Dennysville, Maine historian. Some inscriptions have become more difficult to read since her initial recording. I cannot find some stones she recorded. Supplemental data is from surrounding town records, particularly Townsend, Vital Records of Lubec Prior to 1892, and Forslund, History of Whiting, Maine. Similarly, Split Hill records were checked against transcriptions of Bernard Ross; Mr Ross also extensively documented the Lubec Cemetery.
