I've always been interested in cemeteries and graves...I guess it's humbling to know that we are not immortal (or at least some of us go through life with that in mind ).

When I moved to the MD/VA/WV/DC area, I was totally into how old the graves were (for this country anyway). I began as a teen visiting a lot of graveyards, enjoying the quiet, and hoping to run into a spirit or two. I was a bit of an introvert back then and my own person.

Tennessee and the Deeper South have some very interesting burial sites too. I do have a problem with Gettysburg. Its sadness is just overwhelming to me...

My daughter has been taking photographs ever since she could hold a camera, and will be my partner in this project of love wherever it takes us.

10-23-2014: Since I wrote this, my life was turned upside down with deaths of loved ones, responsibilities of loved ones who were ill and needed to be cared for, homeschooling my little one, declining health, and just life in general. I am so...sorry that I couldn't fulfill what I started out to do with all good intentions. This is a fantastic web site, and I support it with all of my being. Susie ;)
