I have been researching my family for about 30 years. My dad was the youngest of 9 children who grew up in Toledo, Iowa. My grandmother's maiden name was Criley. She was born in Cheltenham (now St. Louis) Missouri. Her father, Henry Crouse Criley, came from Chester County, Pennsylvania. Her mother's name was Jane Elizabeth Essig, and came from Pennsylvania. My grandfather's parents moved to Iowa from Onondaga County, New York. I'm happy to share my research with others.
