My great grandparent's on my mom's family were Frank Goebel and Elizabeth Rupple Goebel. They both came to USA from Hessen, Germany. They came to Scranton, Kansas from Kentucky. My grandpa was searching for coal. He had a coal mine on his property. They had Henry, born in Kentucky, Charles, William, Frank, John, Caroline, and Amelia all born in the Scranton area. My grandpa was John. He was married to Lenora Frances Berry (my grandma). They are buried in the Fairview Cementery, Woods County Oklahoma. Two miles south of the Kansas/Oklahoma line just north of Alva, Oklahoma. My grandpa was a coal miner, farmer, and blacksmith.My great grandparents on my dad's family were Johann Jakob (he died in Germany) and Wilhelmine "Kurtz" Jakob married Seeger. She died in Illinois. They had (Jakob)Wilhemia "Minnie", Karl, Gustave, Sophia, then half sister's Bertha and Martha Seeger. My grandmother Minnie married in Germany to Alexander Seeger and they came to the U.S.A. They had Marie, William, Frederick, Rudolf, and Elsa Kennedy. My grandmother married Heinrich/Henry Frederick/Fritz Nagel in Drumright, Oklahoma. They had Carl and Benjamin (my dad). My grandparent's Nagel are buried in the Oilton, Oklahoma cemetery. My grandpa Nagel worked in the coal mines and oil fields. My grandmother Minnie managed the Prairie View Hotel in Hardtner, Kansas for many years.
